Atlantic Fog is dedicated to the artisan production of scented candles, handmade in small batches.


2. Object

These Terms and Conditions regulate the access and use of the Atlantic Fog online store, as well as the product purchase process.

By placing an order, the customer declares to have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms.


3. Handmade Products

  • All products are handmade, and slight variations in color, texture, or finish may exist between items of the same model.

  • We strive to present real photographs and descriptions, but slight differences are inherent to artisan work and are not considered defects.


4. Information, Prices and Availability

  • Prices include VAT at the legal rate in force.

  • Atlantic Fog reserves the right to change prices, products, or campaigns without prior notice.

  • In case of an obvious error in price or stock, the store will inform the customer before processing the order.

  • Availability is limited to existing stock, given the artisan nature of the production.


5. Order Process

  1. The customer selects the products and completes the checkout.

  2. The order is only considered valid after payment confirmation.

  3. The customer must ensure that the provided data (name, address, contact) is correct. Incorrect data may lead to delays or returns.


6. Payments

The store accepts the following payment methods:

  • MB Way (if applicable)

  • Multibanco Reference

  • Credit Card

  • PayPal (if applicable)

  • Bank Transfer

Atlantic Fog does not store card data or sensitive information — all payments are processed through secure platforms.


7. Shipping

  • Orders are shipped from São Miguel, Azores.

  • Delivery times vary according to destination and carrier.

  • During peak seasons (Christmas, campaigns, etc.) delays may occur.

  • If the address is incorrect or incomplete, reshipment may incur additional costs.

The customer will be informed by email when the order is shipped.


8. Exchanges and Returns

In accordance with Portuguese law:

Right of Free Resolution (14 days)

The customer may return a product within 14 days of receipt, provided that:

  • the item is unused

  • in its original packaging

  • in perfect condition

Used, burned, opened, or customer-damaged products are not accepted.

Customized Items

Custom-made candles are not eligible for return, except for manufacturing defects.

Return Costs

  • Borne by the customer, unless the product is damaged or not as described.

Refunds

  • Are processed within 14 business days, using the same payment method.


9. Damaged Products / Defects

If the order arrives damaged, the customer must contact us within 48 hours, sending:

  • order number

  • photos of the box

  • photos of the product

We will replace the product or issue a refund.


10. Store Responsibility

Atlantic Fog is not responsible for:

  • internet service interruptions

  • delays caused by carriers

  • losses resulting from improper use of products

  • incorrect information provided by the customer


11. Intellectual Property

All content on the site — images, descriptions, logo, design, texts, and products — are the property of Atlantic Fog.

Total or partial reproduction without authorization is prohibited.


12. Privacy and Data Protection

Atlantic Fog complies with GDPR.
Collected data is used solely for:

  • order processing

  • sending purchase-related communications

  • customer support

The customer may request the deletion of their data at any time.


13. Dispute Resolution

In case of a dispute, the consumer may resort to the Alternative Dispute Resolution entity:

14. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
Any conflict will be handled in Portuguese courts, unless there is a voluntary recourse to the indicated RAL entities.
